Topics 3 Task Manager Adds versatile home screen widgets, new Apple Watch issues and more

Breeding code Out today with the iOS 14 update Its incredibly popular Task Manager Things 3. Today’s update brings new home screen widgets, new Apple Watch issues and more.

Topics 3 offers three different home screen widget sizes to choose from, and you can customize the to-do list you want to display your widget. By default, Things 3 widgets will display your “Today” list with your tasks for the day. Also, if you have multiple programs to track, you can add widgets to many things on your home screens.

Things for the iPod 3 also includes support for these new widgets, and although the iPad 14 does not support the home screen widgets, you can add them instead of today’s view.

The update for Today’s Things 3 adds integration with iOS 14’s new Winddown feature:

As bedtime gets closer, you can turn off your iPhone all day and make sure you are ready for tomorrow. You will find a shortcut to quickly review what to do tomorrow before you go to sleep, or configure other shortcuts to suit your needs. Open your health app (in sleep settings) to set this up.

For Apple Watch users, there are two new issues:

We have added two new issues to this release. The “Today” problem is shown in the next three things you need to do in the infographic modular or modular compact, while the “new” problem puts a simple + button on your tracking face to streamline data entry.

Finally, for iPods 14 and Apple Pencil, Things 3 now also supports the Scribble feature, which automatically converts your handwriting into text.

Other improvements:

  • The Sri Watch face will now show you what to do with the upcoming reminders.
  • The Apple Watch now runs shortcuts, so you can control things from your wrist. Milk out? It only takes a plate of things to be reminded to pick up some. Create your stuff shortcuts in the shortcuts app on your iPhone.
  • In the shortcuts app on the iPhone and iPod, you can now select one of your tags in the “Show list” active.
