Apple claims that the CPU and GPU of the chip are about 50 percent faster compared to the competing smartphone SoCs. It even claims that the new chipset is enough to challenge the performance of laptops.
Apple has limited the A14 bionic performance on the iPhone 12
The iPod Air 4 has an overall score of almost 17 percent more than the iPhone 12. The tablet’s CPU is 9.5 percent faster than the iPhone, and it offers 30 percent faster graphics performance.
The rating website believes that the performance of the i14 is limited to the iPhone 12 because of its relatively small battery capacity to prevent overheating issues. The same can be said for the iPhone 12 Pro, when looking at its scores.
The A13 Bionic already has a pretty capable chip and new comparisons make us wonder if the A14 Bionic on the new iPhones does anything other than give the average user a boastful rights.
