Damon came out and told me to do something, the way the song changed was great. I was in the studio in London, he was on the other end in Devon, but even from a distance it was an impressive and creative process. I have always loved Damon because he covers so many different types of music. He has his fingers in many pockets, and although he has achieved so much, he has never sat down creatively. He constantly pushes forward and embraces the new, which is admirable and rare. He always works — he always does something. He has done so much to promote music that people from all over the world, from Africa, to China, have never heard before, and I really enjoy it. Anyway I’ve always been a gorillas fan, so when he asked me to do a gorillas track — it wasn’t a brain. I’m so happy, it’s so happy.
