Since the release of the fourth series on Sunday, fans have taken to social media to express their ‘most contradictory’ views on Gillian’s performance.

The fourth series of Crowns focuses on Thatcher’s rise to power and his dramatic social reforms in the 1980s, which divided the country as a result of the weakening of trade union power and the 1984 miners’ strike.

‘My hatred of Margaret Thatcher was hard to separate from Gillian Anderson’s fierce attraction. Very confused, ‘one wrote, while agreeing for a second:

‘Gillian Anderson as Thatcher has immersed me in the most sexual confusion of my life.’

He added: ‘If I need someone today, I have many conflicting feelings about Gillian Anderson in The Crown.’

Meanwhile, others praised Gillian Anderson for his outstanding performance as Thatcher, complete with his famous troll, and won an Emmy at the 2021 Awards.

Since John Litko was nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his role in Winston Churchill, this is not the first time an actor has received critical acclaim for his role as Prime Minister in The Crown.

This comes after Gillian Anderson echoed the portrayal of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the fourth series of The Crown as ‘splitting’.

In a new interview, the actress revealed that she had received help from two voice trainers and had rehearsed in ‘Dark and Abandoned Rooms’ to channel the late politician who led the country from 1979 to 1990.

The X-Files star admitted to getting dressed, which helped her play as a state woman as she said: ‘I will never wear the shoes she wore in my life. But walking in the way I learned to walk with her, in those shoes, helped a lot. ‘

Thespian Gillian, who has a fat case and ‘really uncomfortable nylon stockings’, insisted that Margaret give up her ‘preconceived notions’ and look at her old videos and take on the politician’s behavior.

He said realizing it was far from his distinctive voice The sun: ‘Her voice is so easy to parody, it’s hard to recognize. It was about trying to find balance, but at the same time understanding who she was and how she worked. ‘
