COREtec Floors supports young sailor Henri Demesmaeker

Youth sport development advocate COREtec Floors recently announced the collaboration with young Belgian sailor Henri Demesmaeker. Together with his partner Charles Dorange, he founded the sailing team ‘Blueshift Sailing Team’, with which they have already participated in three competitions in 2023 with their foiling boat. With this type of sailboat, you fly above the water, so to speak, driven by the wind.

Shared passions
Henri Demesmaeker, a 22-year-old sailing talent, has already achieved impressive feats in the world of international sailing, where he has already been active in countries such as Great Britain, New Zealand and France. He ranks among the best sailors in the world, including world champions and Olympic medalists. As helmsman, he is the first Belgian to take part in this circuit.

This is exactly what we in the sailing world also do to go faster on the water with our boats. COREtec Floors recognizes the value of sport in the physical and personal development of young people and is happy to support them with the resources and encouragement they need to grow in their sporting endeavours. The flooring company has already made commitments to several international athletes and sports clubs, including Basketball Club Filou Oostende (Belgium), USTours Rugby (France) and ski jumper Valtteri Holopainen (Finland).

Third place in the standings
At the end of June, Demesmaeker participated with the Blueshift Sailing Team in the Foiling Week on Lake Garda in Italy, which took place from June 28 to July 1. With the excellent performances in this game, the team is currently in third place in the season standings for the last two games. With his talent and determination, Henri not only represents his hometown of Knokke-Heist, but also the Belgian sailing community.

“It is a huge honor to compete at this level and to be part of the international sailing community. I am extremely proud of my achievements at Foiling Week and grateful for the support of my family, friends and community. my trainer, and of course our partner COREtec Floors,” says Henri. “We are now in full training for the next Grand Pavois challenge in La Rochelle, France, and the season finale in Murcia, Spain, at the Foiling Grand Prix on Mar Menor. We are determined to win the ETF26 series matches!”
