On December 2, the province of Zeeland ceded the land for the Waterdunen recreation area to the Molecaten recreation company. In the presence of deputy Anita Pijpelink and Luke Slager from Molecaten, the sale of the land was organized at the notary.
The recreation entrepreneur wants to start construction of the recreation park as soon as possible. The construction period of the recreation section – which consists of a central building, around 220 camping pitches and the first phase of around 75 holiday homes * – is over a year. The tourist season will start on April 1 and the operation should be ready. ” This project involves an intensive development process, so we are very satisfied with this result. An explosives investigation is still ongoing in the province of Zeeland. Partly for this reason, unfortunately, we will not be able to open the doors in 2022. But we hope to be able to start building in that year. We’re about to start, ”said Luke Slager, Molecaten board member.
Spend the night in the middle of nature
The combination of nature, the coast and the inspiring hinterland is ideal for gaining new energy. Luke Slager is therefore delighted to realize a new amusement park here. Molecaten Park Waterdunen stands for peace and space in the midst of nature, with sustainability as the starting point. Simplicity, comfort and interaction with the environment are the key words here. In addition to around 350 holiday homes and 38 glamping tents, we also provide around 200 camping pitches. The houses fit perfectly into the landscape. This is one of the reasons why we do not opt for ‘lots’, hedges or fences. After all, the outdoor space belongs to all of us.
