Who wants a shot? US healthcare workers stuck in snow with vaccines

Health workers were on their way home from an immunization session at Cave Junction when they got stuck. The remaining six vaccines were intended for residents of the town of Grants Pass, about 45 miles away. The vaccines were to last about six hours, so the commute was feasible.

Chiseled truck

But when they stepped into the blizzard and saw a chiseled truck and trailer in front of them, doubts arose as to their exit soon enough. The decision was made quickly.

To waste the vaccines would be a shame, so we asked the other drivers if they wanted to be vaccinated out there in the snow. “One person was so happy, he took off his shirt and jumped out of the car,” organization director Michael Weber said. New York Times.

“ They were strange conversations ”

Not everyone wanted a vaccine. Most didn’t trust him and kindly refused, Weber said. He understood it too. “These were weird conversations. Imagine you’re on the side of the road and someone asks you if you want a bullet in your arm.”

Yet all six vaccines have been marketed. “It was one of the coolest trades ever,” Weber said.
