Volkswagen offers many more SUV models than you might think. With us, the T-Roc, Tiguan and Touareg are the best known (the latter is no longer delivered to the Netherlands), but in China and the United States, for example, completely different models are sold. The large Volkswagen Atlas (which is called Terramont in China), the Atlas Cross Sport (also called Terramont X), the Taos / Tharu, the Tayron, the Tayron X and the Nivus.
Volkswagen Taigo is the ‘coupe version’ of the T-Cross
The latter forms the basis of the Volkswagen Taigo. It sits on the same platform as the T-Cross and has roughly equal exterior dimensions. What is the added value of Taigo? 90 or 110 hp three-cylinder turbo engine
Eight, we’re not going to get into the discussion anymore. If Volkswagen wants to see a T-Cross with a slightly tilted rear window like a coupe, it will. Little is known about engine options, but we’re assuming the Taigo will get a 1.0 TSI gasoline engine, with a choice of 90 or 110 hp (just like the T-Cross). The Volkswagen Taigo will be in Dutch dealerships at the end of this year.
