Politically and diplomatically, the work of several US (US) ministers is a continuation of the actions taken by this administration since taking office. Foreign Minister for International Trade and International Cooperation (BBC) Albert Ramdin told a Zoom press conference on the mission to the United States that the aim was to further support the country’s political and financial reputation.
Virtual meetings have taken place over the past six to seven months, where there has been a lot of understanding and support for the tsunami reality, rather than the policy of healing the economy. “After several zoom meetings, it is essential to have face-to-face conversations with officials and agents,” Ramdin says.
Finance and Planning Ministers Armond Achchaipersing, David Abiamofo of Natural Resources, Ramdin, and Annat Jackser, Managing Director of Statsoli, for talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). From April 20 to 30, they visited three cities: Miami, Houston, and Washington.
Ramdin pointed out that he had the opportunity to speak with various officials in each city. Concrete and targeted discussions have been held with US executives, representatives of international and regional financial institutions, representatives of the corporate world and the banking world. The ultimate goal is to revive the economy.
