Tonia Swinckels and her brother Bart were born in the trailer. Their parents still live there, in the Zetten mini camp. Tonia and Bart have lived with their families in a townhouse for years against their will.
Because they have been registered for a long time, originally from Overbetuwe and their parents live there in caravans, they have a good chance of winning one of the two places that Overbetuwe wants to nominate.
“And we hope Zetten. That’s where we come from, the kids go to school and our lives are played out, ”Tonia and her partner Robert complement each other. “We’re at the station because this place is now going to have a destination and so things would move quickly here.
Each resident of the caravan must have a view of a location within a reasonable time. In our opinion, this is not a reasonable period in Overbetuwe.
“But we also know that politicians are looking for additional seats. In Zetten, we would like to go to the grounds of the Veldstraat. There is space there, people already know us and it’s close to the existing camp, ”says Tonia. De Swinckels sees room for four places as well as growth.
“We are hoping for places for me and my brother, but also for our parents. They then left Sadatstraat, ”Tonia says. “And then there is also room when our oldest, Maria, is ready to use her own car.
