Ritzville, Wash. – The Grand County Health District (GCDT) is asking those who attended a major wedding near Ritzville last week to be isolated following a positive test for Govt-19.
The district says more than 300 people attended the wedding, and because of the high number of people at the event and the long-term impact, they issued a warning to the public. Currently, 17 COVID-19 cases are linked to marriage, and the GCHD says more are being added daily.
Public meetings at that time should not exceed 30 people Monday night Monday midnight, indoor receptions and similar meetings will be prohibited.

“We are very grateful to those participants who went on the test and stayed at home. This will help protect their friends, co-workers and the community from this disease,” said District Administrator Theresa Atkinson.
The GCHD further recommends that organizers of these events keep a record of participants to facilitate contact monitoring efforts.
