Nashville, Den. – Tennessee Titans first round pick Isaiah Wilson He was arrested Friday night for DUI, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
“We know the situation,” the Titans said in a statement. “This is not behavior that is indicative of the nature of our football team, and we act on the details of how to proceed.”
According to court documents, Wilson was arrested at 11:29 p.m., and was released on bond 1,000 bond at 1:28 a.m. Saturday. Wilson is scheduled to appear in court on October 7.
Last month, Wilson attended a meeting in an apartment outside a campus on a Tennessee State University campus police incident report. Wilson received a breach warning.
“You can’t control a professional footballer outside the building,” Titans coach Mike Wrapel said during training camp. “We will make the right decisions from here and always believe that we will do everything we can to maintain the best possible health.”
Tennessee selected Wilson in the draft with the 29th choice, confirming their future in the right way. Wilson started training camp on the COVID-19 reserve list and struggled with conditioning after being able to participate in practice. Last week he was again placed on the COVID-19 reserve list.
