The NFL schedule this week is going to have a slightly different look because the league has decided to change some things as the Masters players will also be playing this weekend.

The prestigious golf tournament, which is usually played in April, was pushed back this weekend by the Govt-19 epidemic. CBS has been a broadcast partner of senior teachers for the past 64 years, and this year will be no different. With the final round of the tournament on Sunday, both CBS Masters and the NFL had to wrap up some things to broadcast.

So what would be different? Let’s see quickly.

  • CBS has 1pm and no ET NFL games. For the first time since at least 1998, CBS will not broadcast a game on the afternoon slot. The Masters Final round is scheduled to air on Sundays until 3pm, meaning there is no place to broadcast 1 hour of NFL games on CBS. All five games in the early morning window will be broadcast on Fox.
  • 4 hour games rather than 1 hour games. With the exception of the 17th week, the NFL does not have more than 4 hour games on a Sunday afternoon than 1 hour games, but it will happen this week. All of the CBS games kick off at 4:05 p.m., while the three late games on Fox start at 4:25 p.m., which means six games in the 4 hour window compared to just five games in the 1 hour window. Outside of any week, this is the first time in at least 10 years that there are more 4-hour games than regular 1-hour games.
  • Tony Romo and Jim Nantz will not be in an NFL game this week. Nantes will be the leading CBS announcer at the Masters for the 33rd time at Augusta National, and since he can’t be two places at once, he will be calling the Masters Finals on his NFL Sunday CBS. As for Romo, even if he gives a week off for football, you can almost guarantee that the extreme golfer will have CBS for the whole weekend, so he can watch both golf and football.

This means that you will definitely want to connect your TV to CBS this weekend. Not only do we have masters on Saturdays and Sundays, but we also have a strong NFL slate covering 7-2 on Sunday afternoons. Bills Playing against 5-3 Cardinals.
