Wild look of LG Wing smartphone Has a US price and release date – it costs 99,999, will be available on Verizon at least on October 15th, and bookings start on October 1st. The news confirms what many have already expected about the dual screen device: it will not be cheap.
As usual with the release of a new Verizon phone, there are a variety of trade offers and discounts that can help lower that price index. The company offers a $ 750 discount when trading on a phone with a tax added to an unlimited plan, a $ 500 discount for current Verizon unlimited plan customers trading on one device or a $ 250 Verizon gift card tax boarding for new customers.
But even with those discounts, there’s no other way to cut it: you pay a lot for the innovation of LG’s torque screen design. The wing offers two displays, a 6.8-inch main display, and a second 3.9-inch panel that slides up and around Clever hinge mechanism. It features a Qualcomm integrated X52 modem with 5G support, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 4,000 mAh battery, in-display fingerprint sensor and support for wireless charging.
LG has also promised The Wing will be out on AT&T and T-Mobile after this fall, but there is no word yet on the price or timing for those models. The Verizon model – the company says it supports its MMWave network – is a different version from the upcoming AT&T and T-Mobile variants (like other phones like LG Velvet). If so, the Verizon model has a chance to charge a premium for additional network support, however we will have to wait for other carriers to confirm their own announcements.
