The Territories are inhabited by “twins”: everyone in the normal world also has a version in this magical realm. Normally, the fate of these “twins” is linked to the original humans (if one dies, the other disappears too!). In Jack’s case, something is wrong and he can switch between the shadow world and the earth.
The Duffer Brothers of course have experience in creating parallel worlds, like “ The Upside-Down ” by Strange things. Steven Spielberg was so impressed with the story that he acquired the rights to the film The Talisman bought blind in 1982: two years before the book hit stores!
He has since tried to film the story, but has now decided to The Talisman in a Netflix series. It’s still unclear exactly when the new series will be released, but Stephen King fans have something to look forward to. And so many cool things were already happening!
