South Australia says human ‘lying’ corona virus has been locked down as strict restrictions have been relaxed

Sydney – South AustraliaThe six-day corona virus lockout was triggered by a “lie,” officials said Friday that contacting tracers from a person who tested positive and controls in the state would be removed much sooner than first planned.

The shocking announcement comes two days after the state government ordered people to stay at home and close several businesses to fight what is considered to be the most contagious of the corona virus.

At a press conference in Adelaide, South Australian Prime Minister Steven Marshall said that someone at the pizza bar tied to the explosives had only bought the pizza from contact tracers, in fact when he worked in multiple shifts at the food store.

The unnamed person was thought by authorities to have caught the virus during a very short exposure, thus believing the strain must have been highly contagious.

“Theirs [the man’s] Story not included. We followed them. We know now that they lied, “Marshall told reporters. If this person had been true to contact finding teams we would not have been locked out for six days. “

“It is an utter understatement to say that I care about the actions of this person. These selfish actions of this person have plunged our entire state into a very difficult situation.”

While the explosion is still worrying, Marshall said restrictions will be lifted in advance with the shelter order ending at midnight on Saturday, allowing most businesses to open.

Asked what punishment the individual might face, Police Commissioner Grant Stevens said there was “no penalty” for lying to tracers under current law, although it would be reviewed.

“I think it is clear that this person’s actions have had a devastating impact on our community,” Stevens said. “The hardships are not lost on us.”

Stevens said the team reviewing the information that the person provided to the contract tracers was not satisfied with the “feeling they got from this”. Stevens will not be inspired by the man who misleads contact tracers.

South Australia, with a population of about 1.8 million, has recorded 25 cases from the latest cluster, linked to travelers returning from the UK. The number of new cases in the state was expected to rise further in the next few days.

The country as a whole has been successful in having the virus with only about 95 cases currently active.

The state of Victoria on Friday announced its 21st day of zero cases, a well-earned reward for marathon locking in Melbourne, the country’s second-largest city.
