The first weekend in October is Science Weekend. Scientists from Ecomare and the Kaap Skil Museum will also present their work to you this weekend. Ever wanted to know more about seal research or the work of an archaeologist? So now is your chance!
Lectures at Ecomare
On Sunday, October 2, seal researcher Sophie Brasseur of Wageningen Marine Research will talk about her transmitter research with seals at 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. The short talk is called Seal on the radar and is free to Ecomare visitors. As the number of places available is limited, free tickets are available at the ticket office.
Wytze knows
At Museum Kaap Skil you can interview archaeologist Wytze Stellingwerf about his work. Wytze works 1 day a week at the Kaap Skil Museum. He has since owned hundreds of surface objects from the museum’s collection and from local divers. He can talk about it with great enthusiasm! Meet at the Archéolab of the Kaap Skil Museum on Saturday between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to discover what the work of an archaeologist entails.
Help the curator
Would you like to experience for yourself what it is like to examine an object? So join the Help the Curator activity on Saturday 1st or Sunday 2nd October. You can visit the Museum Studio at Museum Kaap Skil on both days between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
