If you worked to find the perfect match for Satan, what qualities would you look for in a mate? Dark, rough and ghost can be a good start. Seems like a lot … 2020 year.
The ad opens with Red-hot Satan (no, actually he is red) sitting on his fiery throne in hell, looking alone and scrolling over his phone.
He matched up with someone, and they meet. “Two zero, two zero?” He asks, he has identified the right woman. “Please call me 2020,” he replied.
The two (played by actors Aaron Reid and Natalie Roy) both get the bond of being from hell, and we get a collection that shares all sorts of romantic 2020 moments like working together in a closed gym, watching a movie on a blank slate. Stealing rolls of theater, toilet paper, and smashing pictures in front of a dumpster fire. It is set for a redesigned version of Taylor Swift’s song Love Story.
“I don’t want this year to end,” says Satan, and most of us would not agree with one statement.
The ad, which has been viewed millions of times, both mock a hellish year and make it clear that love is –– Possible, even during suction periods. “We imagined what a 2020 match would look like, and this video was a natural, slightly distorted decision,” Reynolds said in a statement.
