Relate Radio will start broadcasting on January 1

Groningen’s new online radio station Relate Radio will be broadcast from Friday January 1! The station, set up by the Hybrid Agency Foundation, offers 3 days a week a space for DJs, artists and musicians from all over the city to play radio.

Relate Radio was born out of the need to give new and established artists a stage to continue to develop and challenge themselves. Especially now that clubs, halls and other cultural venues are closed. Listeners to the station can discover new music, personal stories, different cultures and the connections between them in an accessible way.

Program
DJs and artists have the space to tell their own stories and those of their surroundings about (social) events and challenges through music and performances. Because of this unique mix of genres, backgrounds and cultures, the station offers diverse and specialized programming.

The first broadcast on January 1 is in the hands of beatmaker and son of Ede Staal; Jasper Steel. In addition, Michiel Teeuw, Selene (Riot Grls, techno), DJ Caramelo (salsa, latin), DJ Lowpro (Urban House, hip-hop), Freek Strano (Ongehoord, electro) and H € NK offer shows on the first week. -end. In addition, the audio project “Ongehoorde Verhalen” with portraits of Stadjers is also broadcast.

Team
The team behind Relate Radio consists of a collection of great people who are also involved with Club Leaking Licht, OOST nightclub, Paradigm, KopjeK and IIWII among others. The project is commercially supported by the Hybrid Agency with funding from the Municipality of Groningen and Gasterra.
