You will soon be able to return a parcel from the Track & Trace overview in the PostNL app by making an appointment. The function is already present in the application but does not yet work.
PostNL Returns Department
Are you returning a package? From now on, you can see the options for this (with an explanation) directly with the package in the first screen of the PostNL app. The function is clearly indicated with the orange colored button Simple return. If you tap on it, you will see instructions on how you can return a package, such as handing it over to the delivery person or via a PostNL point. You can find a PostNL point in the app by entering a postcode or city.
PostNL also gives you instructions on how to present the package. Unfortunately, return by appointment does not yet work. You cannot indicate when the courier should pick up the package. PostNL says this may be possible soon and asks you to provide comments on the post. For example, the postal company asks about the value of this option, why you would choose it, and what you would like to pay for the service.
PostNL started testing last month a digital alternative for non-personal notes. In addition, the app recently received a widget, a dark mode and a screen reader.
