In addition to games, videos and game DLC packs will no longer be available for purchase when PlayStation Store closes for PS3, PSP, and PS Vita owners. From this moment, it is no longer possible to redeem vouchers for the affected devices. The credit will remain valid for any purchase on PS4 and PS5, but the money will not be refunded. The PlayStation Store will remain open on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Games purchased before the store closed can still be downloaded and replayed. Videos purchased previously will also remain accessible. Games downloaded through the PlayStation Plus subscription will remain available for as long as the player remains a member.
The PlayStation 3 appeared at the end of 2006. A total of 87 million copies have been sold. The 2004 PlayStation Portable has sold over 80 million copies. Its successor, the PlayStation Vita, is doing much less well. Sony has sold around ten million of them. It is not known how many people are still playing on the devices.
