A Fire burning in the area of ​​Cocklin Farm 1,200 acres around West Renault have been burned and 500 structures threatened.

The fire, known as the Pinehoven Fire, started Tuesday afternoon.

It was one of four fires in the area, including two fires near Doyle and Chilcott on Renault’s northern California border and another small fire stopped by crews in Spanish Springs.

High wind counseling is also in effect for most of Reno, Carson City and Mainton areas, including the city of Virginia.
