The absurd Dutch horror film De Kuthoer starring Katja Herbers in the lead role will soon be screened in Great Britain and Ireland. The film will be available for viewing in theaters and online from March 12. UK cinemas are currently closed.

The film was purchased by distributor Vertigo Releasing, which recently released The Assistant (Kitty Green) and Stardust (Gabriel Range). The film can be viewed in theaters and online from March 12.
In De Kuthoer, columnist and author Femke (Herbers) is inundated every day with nasty anonymous messages on social media, then decides to take revenge on her “reactors”.

The film is directed by Ivo van Aart (TV series Locked Out, Suspicious Minds) and written by Daan Windhorst (TV series Missie Earth, Locked Out). The TV movie was produced by NL Film in co-production with BNNVARA and was produced with the assistance of CoBO. The Kuthoer has already been sold in the United States, Canada, South Korea, Spain and Australia and recently won the Audience Award at the prestigious Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada. In the Netherlands, the film can be viewed via NPO Start.
