Bad news for fans of well-known and frequently watched series: Netflix will be removing a number of them this month.
Streaming service reports in so-called ‘disappearance’ that curtain will fall for titles how I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, The Big Bang Theory at The prince of Bel-Air. In November, this was already the case for the the Lord of the Ringsseries, The black Knight and more movies.
More licenses for Netflix
Not because Netflix doesn’t grant you the series, but because they can no longer be streamed: “Netflix buys licenses for series and movies from studios around the world. We try to keep the titles you want to watch, but sometimes they go missing due to licensing agreements. »The titles declared today will be December 30 and 31 withdrawn from offer in the Nederlands.

Well-known films will soon no longer be shown. You have to be there fast if you want to enjoy the Oscar winning film for a while Moonlight, Bridget Jones Baby at Trolls (all from 2016).
Maybe at the last minute …
Netflix thinks it’s important to mention that it can be decided at any time to keep the movies and series on offer. It has happened in the past that a decision has been taken at the last minute to renew the rights of a title, so that the film or series does not eventually disappear from the streaming service.
The news of ‘quitting’ with Gossip Girl, the drama series about upper-class New York City teens, sneaked in a week ago. A drama also for the seasoned Gossip GirlFans. Or better: a tragic depth. “I feel like I’m dying,” is a revealing response on Twitter from a young admirer. There were a lot more reactions.
