Police in Latour arrested a man with one leg who was trying to enter a house. This is the 34-year-old GS who, after denouncing his neighbor CL on Friday, January 15, 2021, was arrested by the police from the Latour office for attempted burglary.
According to the declarant’s statement, she lives with her 8-year-old daughter on the Noordpoolweg in Suriname. She woke up around 5:30 a.m. that morning and on that occasion she walked to one of the bedrooms. She found pieces of wood on the floor that caught her attention.
The woman immediately searched her home and noticed that the frame of one of the windows had been partially destroyed. She then went out and saw that the ironwork had been forced out. One of the screws that secured the ironwork to the wall was on the floor.
Based on the print found, which was strikingly the print of a single left foot, she took it to her neighbor. It is remarkable that its neighbor GS has only one leg.
CL was suspected that her neighbor must have tried to break into the house. The woman immediately turned to the police to file a report. The neighbor was found and arrested.
Suspect GS denies committing the criminal offense. He said during arraignment that another man may have done so. After coordination with the Suriname prosecutor’s office, the neighbor was arrested.
