The roof between the Spoorpark Kiosk and the Scouting Esjeeka building has undergone a major makeover in recent months. The space is equipped with a full-length lockable fence and inside the space is divided into one large multifunctional space and three smaller spaces.
The large multifunctional space is equipped with low stands on which visitors can sit, for example to follow a presentation, attend a (networking) meeting or for educational purposes. The space is also particularly suitable, for example, for a temporary exhibition, a small-scale music, theater or dance performance or any other desired use. Everything is possible in consultation.
The renovations are carried out by Michaels B.V. and will be completed shortly. The design of the space was carried out by Tjeerd Timmermans, the architect of the building.
Workshop and storage space
Three small spaces have been created behind the large space. A workshop will be set up in one of the spaces where Spoorpark volunteers can carry out all kinds of maintenance work in the park. The other areas are used for the storage of materials.
Finding a suitable name
We are still looking for a suitable name for the new multifunctional space. Do you perhaps have a good idea of what can be called space squared with water? Submit your suggestion by email to [email protected]. From all the entries, we will select three for park visitors to vote on, after which the final name will be announced at the festive rooftop opening in March.
