Surinamese police arrested SK, 21, after attempting to bribe a policeman at a traffic control. The Suriname Police Force reports it today.

A policeman who on that day was busy controlling traffic on Jodenbreestraat near the Jodenbree shopping center at one point saw a vehicle with tinted windows and no front license plate approaching.

The policeman ordered the driver to stop, after which he told the man he was in violation and would be charged with a police report. The offender got out of the car and to continue on his way undisturbed, he attempted to bribe the lawyer. the police say.

The officer reacted immediately by immediately arresting SK for committing the offense and transferring her to Keizerstraat police station. After consulting the Suriname prosecution, SK was taken into custody pending investigation.
