The American Ambassador to Morocco, David Fischer and Mehdi Qotbi, President of the National Foundation of FNM Museums, spoke of the organization of a Moroccan exhibition in the United States.
To strengthen the friendly ties between the two countries, the two officials want to show the history they share to the public. According to Qotbi, it’s a great way to get to know yourself better. “Culture is the best way to understand and know each other. We are discussing it so that Moroccans also get to know the great American people better,” said Mehdi Qotbi.
In a statement to the MAP news agency, David Fischer said the recent decisions by the United States and Morocco are a first step towards peace in the region. It evokes the American recognition of the Moroccan character of the Sahara. “We think this is a good step forward,” Fischer said.
“We are very proud of the decisions that the United States and Morocco have taken together to bring peace and prosperity to the region,” Qotbi said. He also announced that the FNM was working on new cultural initiatives. For example, a museum is open in Meknes and the Villa Harris in Tangier. The southern provinces will not be forgotten and will have several museums.
