Castricum – Today Albert Heijn reopened in the Geesterduin shopping center. Supermarket manager Bregje Maes cut the ribbon. The supermarket has the latest Albert Heijn concept. You will find many other fresh products such as vegetables, fruits, ready meals, bread, meat products, cheeses and snacks. The shop also has a sushi bar and the self-digitized checkouts have been renewed.
“Customers are reacting very positively!”, Proudly declares supermarket manager Bregje Maes. “The renovation stayed within the existing walls, but the clever layout makes it more spacious. The moment you walk in, you see it immediately! Customers are also very satisfied with the new interior and the wide range of fresh produce.
Towards
Upon entering you are immediately surprised by a world of fruits and vegetables. There is a wall with a large selection of seasonings such as fresh herbs and you can make different kinds of candy vegetables yourself. For breakfast, lunch and drinks there is a very wide choice of cold meats, cheese, sausages, tapas, olives, salads and other snacks. Bregje Maes: “We now have a sushi bar where fresh sushi is prepared on site. The bakery has also become much larger. There, different types of breads and rolls come from our own oven and you will find all kinds of cakes, pastries, cookies and chocolate.
Inspiration and mobile digitization
AH Castricum can now inspire its customers even more. Large displays throughout the store provide information on tasty seasonal produce and surprising recipes. All self-digitized checkouts and manual scanners were also renewed. “With the hand scanner or the AH app on your mobile, you can scan the products in the store and quickly pay at the self-service checkout,” said the supermarket manager.
Albert Heijn Castricum opens Monday to Friday at 7 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 8 a.m. As long as the curfews are set, the store closes at 8:45 p.m. daily. (Photo: Yasmin Hargreaves)
