Michael Mann’s highly anticipated feature ‘Ferrari’, starring Adam Driver, Penelope Cruz and Shailene Woodley, will have its world premiere at the 80th Venice Film Festival. American film distributor Neon has acquired the distribution rights and will release the film in the United States on Christmas Day 2023.
“Michael Mann, one of the most innovative and influential filmmakers in the history of American cinema, was moved by the story of Enzo Ferrari and determined to bring it to the big screen,” said the CEO and Neon founder Tom Quinn to Deadline. “‘Ferrari’ reaffirms Neon’s continued commitment to supporting visionary writers who push the boundaries of cinema. Collaborating with Michael Mann on Ferrari is a dream come true for Neon.” ?
Driver embodies Enzo Ferrari and Cruz embodies his wife Laura Ferrari. Shailene Woodley stars as mistress Lina Lardi. The cast also includes Patrick Dempsey as racing driver Piero Taruffi, Jack O’Connell as racing driver Peter Collins, Sarah Gadon as Linda Christian and Gabriel Leone as the charismatic Fon De Portago.
The film is set to hit theaters in late 2023.
