Man in Ukraine invents murder for snowy street | NOW

A man in Ukraine called the police on Saturday night and said he had committed a murder in the hope that the police would come with a snow plow to stop him. He was unhappy with the state of his street, written the english newspaper The Guardian.

Due to heavy snowfall in Ukraine in recent days, the street of man was covered with a layer of snow. Earlier today he had tried cleaning the street, but he was unhappy with the result.

So he decided to try a different way. The Ukrainian called the police on Saturday night and confessed to committing murder, writes The Guardian. He said he stabbed his mother’s partner in the chest.

“But at the same time, he warned the police that they had to come with a snowplow because there was no other way to reach it,” a police spokesperson said. The Guardian.

After the officers arrived (in an SUV and not in a snow plow), they discovered that none of the story was correct. The alleged victim was in perfect health. The “murderer” immediately admitted that the story was made up. He can be fined 3.50 euros for making a false report.
