On March 26, the Suriname Police Force (KPS) honored the police and civilian personnel, with 35 and 40 years of service, who have made a substantial contribution to the realization of the policy defined at the KPS. 61 birthdays were honored.
The chairman of the Suriname Police Union (SPB), who is also the acting chairman of civilian staff, Chief Inspector Raoul Hellings, spoke of the staff’s dissatisfaction, treatment and treatment they received during of the elapsed period. Hellings also discussed the staff appreciation.
He called on Police Chief Roberto Prade to say that this jubilee celebration is an impetus for the structural appreciation of the staff. The union president took the opportunity to ask the Minister of Justice and Police (Juspol), Kenneth Amoksi, to invite the union of civilian workers to carry out the business to which they are entitled.
Not only the president of the union, but also the minister and the police chief indicated that both the police and civilian staff are important in the organization. The police chief also approved of the difference between civilians and police officers. Police Chief Prade and Minister Amoksi discussed the important role civilian personnel play in the police organization.
The police chief believes that the development of this group is now seriously considered. He also looks forward to the Minister’s invitation to do their best for them in recent years, which these Jubilees still have.
“The personnel policy of the Ministry of Justice and Police focuses not only on employee performance, but also on rewarding and valuing employees. You deserve special recognition for the contribution made ”, addressed Minister Amoksi on the occasion of the jubilees.
A less pleasant development for the minister was to learn that people had not been promoted for about fourteen years. The minister said he was eagerly awaiting the force’s appointments, so that all of this could be formalized.
