In an interview Harbors Bazaar, The 32-year-old actress said she is placing more emphasis on meditation and spending time with family as she takes a step back from social media amid the setbacks she has received for her career-defining role.
“I’m a black woman – if it had been another black woman, it would have been the same conversation, she would have had the same attacks, the same abuse,” he said. “I need to remind myself that dialogue is happening and that I am a very revolutionary part of it.”
Lynch’s character, Nomi, gets the title Agent 007, and in the first trailer of the film, he advises Craig’s Bond to “stay in your path” and say, “You go my own way, I’ll put a bullet in your name.”

Lynch said she is “grateful” for the opportunity not only to advance the Bond tradition, but also to “challenge those stories.”
“We move away from toxic masculinity, and it happens because women are open, demanding, giving voice, and as soon as we see it we call it misconduct,” said Lynch, who is of British and Jamaican descent.

He also said that the challenges in portraying Panda help him to create his own version of a complete image.

“A character that is so soft, a cast iron figure? It’s totally the opposite of what I stand for,” he said. “I don’t want to waste an opportunity on what Nomi might mean. I searched for at least a moment in the script, where Black viewers nod their heads, talking about reality, but glad to see their real life being represented.”
