In 2020, we jointly strengthened the open space (VLM annual report)

IIn combination with the ambitious European climate goals, strengthening the open space was therefore high on the agenda. And that is precisely our mission. After all, for the Flemish Land Agency (VLM), a resilient open space full of life is the answer to challenges such as urbanization and climate change. A climate resilient landscape and a healthy environment are the goals we work on every day.

Forced by circumstances, we all worked differently in 2020 than before, also at the Flemish Land Agency. After all, most of our colleagues have worked from home for most of the year. It challenged us, both personally and at a team and organizational level. Agility was therefore essential in 2020.

We have taken the necessary protective measures to ensure that the construction work proceeds as much as possible and in a safe manner. We have done everything to ensure our services and continue the work as well as possible. As a result, we also achieved good results in 2020 which we can be proud of as an organization. We are happy to show some of these results in our annual report.
