Later-Princess Elizabeth and Duke of Edinburgh were married in 1947, and a few years later Elizabeth’s father, King George VI, became king. Ascending the throne in 1952 at the age of 25 as Queen Elizabeth II, she has dedicated her entire life to the service of the state. But with him she always had the support of her husband, Prince Philip, who once described her as “strength and gold” for decades.
Prince Philip officially retired from government service in 2017 at the age of 96 and now lives full time in Sandringham, Norfolk.
But before retiring, Philip completed a staggering 22,219 individual engagements in his career as a senior working king.
Philip’s numerous involvements alone do not take into account the incredible involvement he has made on the Queen ‘s side.

For every state banquet, royal tour and meeting and greetings at the palace where the Queen attended, Philip was usually there to offer help and support.

Prince Charles was 5’10, and his ex-wife was the same height as Princess Diana, although most of the couple’s pictures were staged, so Diana was short.
Prince Andrew, the second son of the Queen and Philip, is thought to be 6 feet tall, just like his father.
According to Google, the couple’s youngest son, Prince Edward, is 1.83 m or 6 feet tall.
The tallest genes do not seem to have stood with Philip’s children, however, and the tallest member of the senior royals is thought to be his grandson Prince William.
William is thought to be 6’3 and his brother Prince Harry to be 6’1 tall.
