The eighth and final season of Homeland was recently released on Netflix. The series about CIA agent Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) won a Grammy Award and a Golden Globe thanks to the game of the Danes.
Carrie Mathison was featured in the first season of the American spy series Country in love with Nicholas Brody, an American marine who was released after years of imprisonment by al-Qaeda. Back in the United States, he was hailed as a war hero. Mathison is informed by an informant that something is wrong and tries to convince his superiors that Brody is a double agent. Mathiason does all of this while battling his own bipolar head.
Sadly, it all ends and so does it Country. The series is in its eighth and final season this year. After several seasons which took place in the United States and Europe, “Homeland” returns to the Middle East.
In recent years, Homeland has presented itself as an extremely realistic spy series. For example, the series plunged into the world of fake news and polarization, but it also dealt with the wave of terror in Europe.
What will happen in the eighth season?
In the seventh season, Carrie found herself in a Russian cell. After a long stay in Russia, Mathison was finally extradited to the United States. Back home, she rehabilitates in a clinic and tries to regain her memory. The Russians did not give him any medication for his bipolar disorder, so an entire period of time was erased from his memory.
The US president ordered Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) to start peace talks with the Taliban. After a few setbacks, he turns to Mathison for help, who has yet to fully recover. Although part of the CIA is not yet convinced of the true loyalty of Mathison, who became a Russian double agent during her months of imprisonment. The series ends after eight seasons, but does not do so without a struggle. The eighth season is one of the strongest ever, concluding the world of Homeland and Carrie Mathison on a high for fans.
