Hawaii health officials said 120 were new today Corona virus Infections statewide, bringing the total number of cases to 20,769 since the outbreak.
The state’s official corona virus – related death toll stands at 285, with no new deaths reported today.
The official state health department said the death toll from the corona virus was 221 in Oahu, 44 on the island of Hawaii, 17 in Maui, one in Kauai, and two Hawaiian residents. The Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency said Thursday that the Big Island COVID-19 death toll stands at 50, but health officials have not yet verified the corona virus as one of the six causes of those Hawaiian island deaths.
With 18.7 million corona virus cases nationwide, the U.S. corona virus death toll stands at 329,000 today.

Officials said there were 95 cases of infection in Ohio today, 17 in May, eight on the Big Island and none in Kauai. As a result of the updated information, an OHU case was removed from the count.
The figures released today reflect the new infection cases reported to the department on Wednesday.
Separately, the Kauai District Health Office today reported two new cases involving male residents. One case is related to travel, the other is community acquisition. All active cases are isolated, and one case is hospitalized in Oahu. Close contacts are identified, directed to isolation, and tested.
The island’s total corona virus cases since the outbreak are 17,450 in Oahu, 1,856 in Hawaii, 855 in Maui, 139 in Kauai, 106 in Lona and 22 in Molokai. 341 Hawaiian residents have been identified outside the state.
Hawaii health officials say 1,773 cases are thought to be active out of the state’s total number of infections. Health officials say they consider infections reported over the past 14 days to be “proxy numbers for active events.” The number of active cases in the state has increased by 40 today.
On the island, there are 1,398 active cases in Oahu, 195 in Maui, 167 in Big Island, and 13 in Kauai. Mologai and Lanai are no longer active COVID cases.
Of all confirmed Hawaiian infection cases, 1,442 have to be hospitalized, six hospitals said today by state health officials.
Three of the statewide hospital admissions were Hawaiian residents who were diagnosed and treated outside the state. Of the 1,439 hospitals within the state, 1,268 are in Oahu, 86 on the Big Island, 72 in Moo, seven in Koo, five in Lao and one in Molokai.
As of 8:30 a.m. Thursday, a total of 73 patients were in Hawaiian hospitals, including 13 in intensive care units and 12 on ventilators, according to the department’s latest data from the department’s Hawaii Govt-19 data dashboard.
On October 22, Ohu moved to the lower control tier 2 of Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s four-tier economic recovery plan. Two major COVID-19 numbers each Wednesday. To move from Tier 2 to Tier 3, the 7-day average of new cases must be below 50 on two consecutive Wednesdays. Also, the 7-day average positive rate on those two Wednesdays should be less than 2.5%.

On Monday, Caldwell said new infections among inmates at the Halawa correctional facility would no longer be counted in his measurements for the recovery program. A recent cluster in prison has raised the number of infections in Honolulu and threatened to deport Ohu, the mayor’s four-tiered system, to Tier 1.
