Marco Rose will be leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach after this season. The German coach is going to work at Borussia Dortmund and as a result a vacancy arises which could be of interest to Erik ten Hag.
The Gladbach club chain has announced that Rose will switch to contender Dortmund after this season. The coach there will be the successor of Edin Terzic at Borussia Dortmund, who is not performing well at the moment. Terzic was appointed interim manager there after BVB got rid of Lucien Favre earlier this season.
Due to Rose’s departure, a position will become available at Gladbach and this could be an option for Ajax coach Erik ten Hag. De Tukker was previously linked with Die Fohlen earlier this season and then went silent in all keys as he wanted to focus on his work at Ajax. So after this season more could happen. Ten Hag still has a contract until mid-2022 in Amsterdam.
Gladbach is performing reasonably well under Rose this season. The team are seventh and have as many points as Dortmund, number six. Interestingly, these two teams will be vying for a European ticket and Rose could therefore ensure that her future team will not be active in Europe next season.
