Feyenoord gets his own series on Disney +

Rotterdam football club Feyenoord will have their own series on Disney +, The Walt Disney Company has announced.

The days when Hollywood was the sole ruler of movies and series are long gone. With the advent of streaming services such as Netflix and Disney +, more and more film productions are also being made outside the United States. And even a Dutch-Belgian series like Undercover can make her famous all over the world.

Disney + and Feyenoord

In this context, the football club Feyenoord can also attract the attention of a new audience. The Walt Disney Company has announced that a new television series is in the works with Feyenoord in the lead. Rotterdam football club will be closely followed for a documentary.

It is not yet known when the series will air on Disney +. Lusus Media will produce the documentary. For Disney +, the documentary with Feyenoord is the first Dutch production. There will be a total of eight episodes of the documentary series. Each episode lasts 50 minutes.

Such a documentary is something different from an action series or a movie. It remains to be seen whether the series will also be interesting enough to win over non-football fans. A documentary on a Rotterdam football club is quite a specific subject, although the 113-year-old football club is of course already a household name abroad.
