Presenter Max Westerman’s documentary can be viewed recently on Amazon Prime.
Westerman reports on social media: “I’m kinda proud of my documentary” My friend, the mayor; Small-town Politics in the Age of Trump ‘has been selected to be screened by a fourth film festival in North America. “You may be aware that we receive a huge number of films each year and that we only select a fraction of the submissions that enter,” writes the organizer of the Golden Door Festival, in case I was thinking: so what? The documentary, which I myself filmed, is about my oldest American friend, Sean strub – a leftist Democrat, openly gay and sick with AIDS for 35 years. He is campaigning for mayor of a conservative place where most people voted for Donald Trump – and wins!
The film can only be viewed in the US on Amazon Prime Video at this time.
