Brendan Ring, owner of Nighttown Restaurant, told Fox News that a customer had ordered a $ 7 stella, picked up a chip, and asked for a check.
The customer signed it, walked through the ring, left the check in front of him and said, “Share this with your staff.”
“I don’t wear my reading glasses. I looked down [the check] It was like I had a beer, he left a tip 300 tip. I go, ‘That’s very good for him,’ ‘Ring said. “Then I put on my glasses and I looked down again, ‘Holy cow it’s a $ 3,000 tip on a $ 7 beer.’
The ring ran to see the customer if he was wrong. The customer, who said he had seen the ring before, said it was not, and said to the ring: “Good luck to you. I’ll see you when you reopen. ”
The ring showed the tip to one of the employees who was in despair and to another employee who “started to cry”.
“We were blown away by the whole thing,” Ring said.
Ring said the customer was “regular” in the late ’30s and early’ 40s. He chose not to identify the client without respecting his privacy.
The Guayaquil County Department of Health has issued a home-based consultation amid rising Corona virus cases, but has chosen to voluntarily close its restaurant to Ring Fox News.
“Although we certainly did not have to close, I decided to close. I did not like being told what to do. I would be the master of my own destiny. So, we closed ourselves,” Ring said. We didn’t go anywhere. We can let this sit for four or five weeks. If the numbers start coming in, I will reopen. ”
