It seems almost a custom that women and even girls are drugged and then abused within the closed religious community of the Mennonites. In one case, this abuse even led to a pregnancy. It actually took place in Bolivia between 2005 and 2009, and Canadian writer Miriam Toews published the book of the same name about it in 2018.
