This emerges from the questions of Pam van de Weijer-Feuerstein. The reason is that the CDA is concerned about the increase in the number of people claiming social assistance benefits. Also because there are many concerns about losing their jobs and hence poverty and / or debt in the future.
Currently, donations from family and friends to Nijkerk up to an amount of one thousand euros are exempt from the imposition of a fine or withholding of social assistance benefits. However, donations may not be for maintenance.
With the increase to 1,200 euros, CDA wants Nijkerk to approve the motion that was passed in the lower house to increase it to this amount. ADC wants to know how quickly the new limit can be introduced and why not. But in this case, they want to know what options are being considered by the municipal executive to achieve the requested increase.
