Brown aims for third Grand Prix in the United States

After the announcement of the Miami Grand Prix last week, hopes Mclaren CEO Zak Brown that a third American Grand Prix will appear on the calendar. His preference will then be a race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

A third race in America

Miami recently signed on for ten years to host the Grand Prix around the Miami Dolphins stadium. In 2021, the race in Austin is also still on the calendar, but the contract will expire after this year.

Brown has been with the CEO of F1 Stefano Domenicali talked about his plan. “I hope to see three American Grands Prix, but maybe it’s too busy in the schedule”Brown said in conversation with the Indianapolis Star.

Rotation between two races, one permanent race

That’s why the American had an idea. “I would like to see a permanent race, then maybe a rotation between two more. So you have three markets, and you keep the excitement and the excitement if you have a little more shortages. “

Miami is to be the main event for all three races in the United States and will then be on the calendar each year. But now that’s all Circuit of the Americas built, I don’t think it needs to be on the schedule every year. And because Indianapolis was built, I don’t think they need it every year ”, let Brown know.
