“We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden death of Stella Tennant on December 22, 2020,” the statement said. “Stella is a wonderful woman and an inspiration to all of us. She will be greatly missed.”
Stella Tennant, found here in 2011, is the museum of the late leader of the channel, Karl Lagerfeld. debt: Remy de la Mauvinier / A.P.
For all the fringes she brought in editorial style, the designers adored her. He was a museum for fashion luminaires like Helmut Long, whose performances were described as favorites to walk in, and the late Carl Lagerfeld, who headed the channel. She continued to appear on the runway earlier this year until she walked to Valentino for Paris Fashion Week.
In 1993 the British Vogue feature was called the “London Girls”. Tennant was wearing a ring with a heavy black eyeliner over his eyes, an Alexander McQueen dress and a low septum piercing. Surrounded by experienced models, the 22-year-old was asked during the shoot to appear in a Versace ad.
“I’ve given everything, my energy and time, and now we’re going to go out and make a family together,” he told the fashion journal Documentary Journal in 2018. “I thought I was out.”
Tennant said he felt his focus narrowed when fashion magazines began to prefer the more traditionally glamorous look to models in the 2000s.
“The agency doesn’t really know what to do,” he recalled. “I thought, ‘Well, that’s not surprising. I had my little moment, and fashion moved, and I moved too.’
The fashion world mourns
Tennant’s frequent coasters and collaborators mourned the passing online.
“Whenever we saw him, he would always take us from where we left off,” he wrote. “Summary of effortless and grace, you make your needle point even when you sit in a corner.”
With the death of Tennant, fashion has lost its unwillingness.
