GSA President Emily Murphy recently sent that message to a partner inquiring about jobs in 2021, explaining that some in Washington have at least quietly agreed that the current administration will leave soon.
A GSA spokesman denied the allegation that Murphy was actively looking for work, but said that it was not unusual for anyone in government, especially a political appointee, to consider future opportunities.
“The manager is focused on doing his job,” the spokesman added.
In response to a November 5 tweet about Veterans Small Business Week, Trump tweeted Sunday: “Great job Emily!”
