Best Buy Town? Left frustrated as PS5 shoppers try to buy console

BestPuy.com encountered problems as shoppers who wanted to buy the PS5 or Xbox Series X came to the website.

Best Buy yesterday announced the release of the much-anticipated next-gen consoles after ET at 9am on Tuesday, however did not provide a specific time. However, after 9am, the website seemed to crash.

While trying to access the Best Buy website, customers encountered: “Sorry, something went wrong. You can use our search bar or choose a category below. If you type a URL, check it for errors.”

Searching for PS5 at BestPie allowed users to open the PlayStation 5 product page, which said “coming soon” or “out of stock”. However, users also encountered the following message: “Sorry, this is crowded here! Please give us a few minutes to create some room. Please check back soon.”

At 11 a.m. the ET Best Buy website appeared to be up and running. However, there is no update on the Instant PS5 or Xbox Series X Restore, which appears to be the cause of the crash.

Players have taken to Twitter to buy new consoles to express their frustration at the Best Buy release.

Olivia teasingly said: “Best Buy did a great job with the Xbox Series X Restock”, and shared an error message: “Sorry, something went wrong.”

Twitter account @ PS5 Drop is updating its followers on where to get the PlayStation 5 console: “Best Buy ‘went live’ for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and Elmo added a photo of himself sitting on a bench titled” Pain “.

Another Twitter user said: “I update the best update to get a PS5 every 10 seconds”, and added a video of someone smoking a cigarette and shivering with stress.

While gamers were expecting the ET consoles to be available at 9am, Best Buy said that when the Restock was announced, the PS5 and Xbox Series X would be released “shortly after”, so there was no way to know when they would be available today.

Until 11 a.m. ET, consoles will appear on the Best Buy website with the message “Coming Soon”. Although the website is up and running now, gamers will face more issues once the consoles are released.

The PS5 and Xbox Series X Best Buy will be released online. Consoles are not available for purchase in the store.
