Name your airports

The most basic way to customize your Airports or Airports Pro is to give them a custom name. Here’s how to do this after connecting your airports to your iPhone or iPod:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap “Bluetooth”
  3. Find your airplane in the list of devices and tap “I” next to them
  4. Tap “Name” and type the name you want

Ear tip fit test

Airports Pro has the unique option of selecting the most appropriate tip size for your ear. To access this feature, go to Settings, Bluetooth and tap “I” next to your airplane. Look for the “Ear Tip Fit Test” option. Once you do this, your Airports Pro will test the seal provided by the tip you have selected and provide suggestions on whether to switch to larger or smaller tips.

This feature is unique to Airports Pro because they have three different set sizes on the box. Airports come in all sizes with a size-fit, but you can buy Aftermarket ear hooks If your ears have trouble protecting them.

Customize your controls

You can always use the controls on your pair of iPhone to manage your airports, Airports, Airports Pro and Airports Max all have built-in control options.

As for airplanes, you can hit the airplane twice. By default, this will pause playback. To customize this behavior:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Bluetooth and tap the “I” next to your airplane
  3. Find your airplane in the list of devices and tap “I” next to them

Once here, you can customize the dual-plate gesture to call Sri, play / pause, and navigate to the next path or the previous path. You can also turn off the dual-plate feature completely.

Airports Pro features a “Force Sensor” feature that allows you to perform common tasks by tapping on the side of the earlobes, while standard airports require you to tap on the pages for playback control. To access these controls, go to Settings, Bluetooth and tap “I” next to your airplane. In the settings, you can customize the press and hold the gesture to switch between noise cancellation and transparency, or to make small calls.

Here are the default controls with AirPorts Pro:

  • Press once to activate, pause, or answer the phone call
  • Press twice to move forward
  • Press three times to go backwards
  • Press to switch between active noise cancellation and transparency mode

Other settings for airports include adjusting press speed, press and capture times, and canceling noise for an airport.

Ever wondered how to resize with Airboats or Airports Pro? Unfortunately, to do this you have to use the Siri or Volume buttons on the connected iPhone, iPad or Mac. Custom EQ controls are also not available.

Finally, the Airports Max page features a digital crown to adjust volume and background:

  • Return to volume control
  • Press once to activate, pause, or answer the phone call
  • Press twice to move forward
  • Press three times to go backwards
  • Hold on to the smile

The Airboat Max also has a dedicated noise control button that can be pressed to switch between active noise cancellation and transparency mode. Again, you can customize these controls by going to the Settings app and selecting your Airboat Mac from the Bluetooth menu.

Find my integration

You have unloaded your new airplanes, so the last thing you want to do is make a mistake or miss them. Fortunately, there is a “Find My Airports” feature to prevent you from doing that. It’s not as strong as the “Find My iPhone” feature, but it’s still incredibly useful for Airbots, Airbots Pro and Airbots Max users.

For the Find My Airboats feature to work, your Airports must be connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth. This means that if the airports are too far away, you will not get the full set, but Apple will help you find the best one.

To access the Find My Airpots feature, go to the “Find Me” app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Then tap the “Devices” menu below. In that list of devices, you should see your airports along with your other devices.

When you tap your airboats, you will see their location (or last announced location) and the ability to turn on the sound.

If you do not have enough with your airports to connect to your iPhone via Bluetooth, you will find the last known location on the map. Also, when you turn on the sound, you will see the message “Sound pending”. This means that you will receive a notification when your airports are reconnected to the connected device.

While it is useful to find my airports, it is not a panic to lose your airports. There are a lot of situations where finding my airports doesn’t work, so I wouldn’t believe it greatly.

Spatial audio

Exclusive to Airports Pro and Airboats Max, it brings surround sound to your aircraft based on spatial audio. This feature utilizes directional audio filters, which “create a high-speed sound experience that can play sounds anywhere in space.” This will place the surround channels in the correct position whether you turn your head or move the device.

To play Spatial Audio on your Airports Pro or Airboats Max, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap “Bluetooth”
  3. Make sure your Airports Pro or Airboats Max is connected, then tap the “I” next to them
