The film’s world premiere took place in Los Angeles tonight Barbie place. Many people have long been looking forward to the looks the cast will appear in on the – of course – pink carpet. And they weren’t disappointed. It became a red carpet full of pink, glitter and a very iconic look for leading lady Margot Robbie.
The highly anticipated film will be released next week Barbie by Greta Gerwig in the hallways. Tonight the world premiere took place in Los Angeles in the United States. The pink carpet has been rolled out for the occasion, with all eyes on lead actress Margot Robbie. And she did not disappoint.
Barbie doll from the 60s
Surprisingly, Margot Robbie didn’t appear in a pink outfit at the premiere. But that didn’t make her any less “Barbie.” On the contrary. The actress wore a sequined black dress that was an exact copy of the 1961 “Solo in the Spotlight” Barbie doll. It’s a fitted dress with flared tulle at the bottom. In addition, Margot Robbie also received long gloves in the exact same color.
The look was recreated in great detail by Andrew Mukamal, Margot Robbie’s stylist. The actress also received black slippers, a diamond choker, a white handkerchief, and there was a red rose on the dress. Margot Robbie’s hairstyle and makeup were also inspired by those of the 1961 doll.
The rest of the cast also came to the premiere in theme. Along with lots of pink, there was also room for black silhouettes to match Margot Robbie.
