Tate City, Pla – Within one month of opening, Snowgate Ridge Alpine Snow Park The Pasco County inspector closed its doors after finding fire, building, electrical and plumbing violations. The theme park located in Tate City announced the closure on Facebook on Thursday afternoon.
In an email sent Thursday evening, the Pasco County government learned that Snowgate Ridge was operating in unsafe structures on Nov. 25, without the necessary permits, inspections or residency certificate. Although many permits have been drawn for the project since July, only one permit has been closed to date. The park does not require any inspections for other pending permits, ”government officials explained.
Photos published by Pasco County’s inspection office show exposed electrical cabinets, unauthorized plumbing and structural problems with the front entrance to the gravity, including stacked shipping containers.
Snowcord Ridge officials said they were not given any documentation or written explanation of the violations. “Furthermore, Pasco County has failed to approve our Florida Fun Ride approvals and will not allow us to open snow slides,” the Facebook comment explained.
